Maya Forever

Posted by Meredith Kain on April 13, 2015

On April 7th, the US Postal Service unveiled a limited-edition stamp to honor the late Dr. Maya Angelou. Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Ambassador Andrew Young and other notables joined Postmaster General Megan Brennan in dedicating the new stamp at the Warner Theater in Washington, DC.

Crews Control was thrilled to have the opportunity to provide production crews to film interviews featured in the tribute video for the dedication.

One of our proudest Hot Shots yet, here is a production still of one of our crews filming the interview with artist Ross Rossin, who painted the oil-on-canvas portrait of Dr. Angelou featured on the new stamp.

Our crew behind the scenes was blown away by Rossin’s breathtaking interpretation of the late poet.
