The Adobe Anywhere platform contains two types of components, the Anywhere Collaboration Hub and Adobe’s Mercury Streaming-Engine. Most video workflows involve dealing with various types of project files. The majority of the time these files are specific to a certain application, and can usually only be accessed by one user at a time. The Collaboration Hub removes the boundaries between these project files and allowing editors, colorist, and producers to access the same files within different applications. The Collaboration Hub self-manages all of the project metadata, user access, and coordinates node clusters across the network. The simple explanation is all data management is performed by the system, allowing the creative team to remain focused on the task at hand. The Mercury-Streaming Engine allows collaborators to access full-resolution files with no data loss, eliminating the use of proxy files, and laborious FTP transfers; and the need to ship hard drives between post houses. The process takes place in real-time, and the media is streamed via its native file located on your company’s main server. The open platform is seamlessly integrated into existing asset management, storage and hardware with a robust application programming interface.

Adobe Anywhere will operate alongside your current network infrastructure and requires no additional proprietary hardware. Adobe Anywhere will directly implement all of collaborative capabilities in future versions of Adobe Premiere Pro, Prelude , and After Effects eliminating the downtime to learn yet another program. The goal is to keep the creativity flowing, by working with an efficient organizational tool geared to provide seamless workflow.
