Crews Control is the leader in outsourced creative services that connect clients with some of the best creative specialists in video, photography, and full productions around the world—from Boston to Bali, London to Lisbon, and New York to New Delhi.
We’re looking for a Production Coordinator who knows their way around video production, loves staying organized, communicates easily with clients and crews, and can keep things moving when plans change at the last minute (because…production). This is a great fit for someone who likes being at the center of the action—solving problems, juggling details, building relationships, and making sure every shoot is set up for success.
One important note:
This is not an on-set or field position. It’s a production management and coordination role.
You’ll probably love this job if you…
– Have a background in video production and understand how shoots actually come together.
– Are seriously organized and notice the little details other people miss.
– Can juggle multiple projects, emails, calls, and last-minute changes without losing your cool.
– Don’t hesitate to pick up the phone when that’s the fastest way to get an answer.
– Enjoy working with clients and building real relationships.
– Learn new software quickly and aren’t thrown off when the process changes.
– Have a sense of humor and a positive attitude. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll work closely with our Production Managers to help coordinate video shoots across the country and around the world.
On any given day, you might:
– Connect with our vetted video crews to check availability, rates, equipment, and technical details.
– Help match the right crew and equipment to each project.
– Confirm upcoming shoots and make sure everyone has the correct details.
– Communicate with crews and clients to keep projects moving.
– Help translate client requests into clear, accurate production scopes.
– Review contracts, production details, and crew invoices for accuracy.
– Follow up with clients for feedback after shoots.
– Jump in to support Production Managers wherever needed.
– After training, help cover projects when other team members are out.
In other words: You help make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
What we’re looking for:
– Ideally, 4–5 years of professional experience
– Must Haves: College Degree and 4-5 years experience combining video production/field experience with production management or office-based coordination.
– You should be comfortable talking about cameras, crews, equipment, and production needs—but just as comfortable communicating with a client who may know absolutely nothing about video production.
– You’ll need strong attention to detail, good judgment, excellent communication skills, and the confidence to recommend a better approach when you see one.
Where you’ll work:
– Once training is complete, this position is 100% remote
– Initial training will take place near Columbia, Maryland, applicants must live in the DC, Maryland or Virginia area—generally within a 1–2 hour drive.
